Cost to repair 1994 Cadillac DeVille Head Gaskets?

 


Hello I was given a second vehicle, which is a 1994 Cadillac DeVille. However, it has blown headgasket and I just would like to get a rough estimate what it would cost to repair this problem.

Does anyone think its worth it? It has 140,000 miles on it and this is the only problem my dad has had with it since he purchased it brand new in '94.

Cadillac vs General Motors? Repair and maintenance?

 


I have a question that is probably pretty stupid, but please be kind in your answers. I want to know if Cadillacs are more expensive to buy parts for and have serviced then GM, because there's this 1993 Cadillac Deville that I fell in love with and can probably afford if I scrimp and pinch, but if the maintenance and repairs are much more expensive than other cars, then I can't get it. Can anyone give me some information on this?
LOL sorry, I guess I really showed my bottom on this question. Thanks for the info! And I learned something today! But what you are saying is that it shouldn't be more costly to take care of than any other car, except for certain parts?

Oh, and do I have to go to a special mechanic for service or will any mechanic do?

Does a Cadillac with a northstar engine cost more to fix?

 


I am considering buying one of two used cadillacs. both are in good condition, but one has a northstar engine. Will this cost more in the future for repairs and maitenence than a non-northstar cadillac?

Cadillac, possible motor mount problem, symptoms and cost?

 


Last year my '94 Cadi Concours/Deville was hit in the rear. There was exterior damage, it was taken care of. There was a slight vibration, but the Cadi place said nothing was noticeably causing it.

The car was only driven short distances after that. I would sometimes take it to work or to the grocery. A couple of months ago I was leaving a parking lot, cranked up, moved toward a slight incline in the lot, and the car jumped pretty strongly, the air conditioner fan turned on and the radio faded in and out. Then it died. I re-cranked, and went straight home.

Same thing happened when I had someone test it out by driving it up the street.

I don't have the cash for major repairs right now, so the car is sitting. Someone mentioned it could be a motor mount or transmission mount. What are the symptoms of that? How much do they cost to repair on a '94 Cadi (Concours/Deville)? Could it be something else instead? I'm getting so tired of paying for problems on this car.

Can someone tell me what this leak might be on my 1984 Cadillac Coupe Deville?

My car seems to have a leak under where the left rear passenger side is(behind the driver's seat) under the car when looking at the drivers side it is just left of the rear tire when looking at the side of the car, it seems to have two seprate spots. If anyone could tell me what this might be or how to repair it it if nescassary thanks It doesn't seem to smell like gasoline, i looked under and don't see any major lines in their?
Well if it helps, the car sat for six years the front was protected under a "giant gable" on a ranch type house, it worked fine then , i just got a new battery and it started right up again everything is fine it was just that it looks like there is two black spots that came up that were not there before it was started.

Window motor, regulator, and auto lock mechanism repair quotes?
